Hey Folks! 

It is that time of year again.  It's opening day at Wrigley.  In honor of the occasion.  I'm including a goat in this month's newsletter.

Kris and I paid a visit to the Abbey Pub Open Mic hosted by Paul Allodi on Tuesday Night.  Michael Rothstein let me strum a bit on his fine D-28 and the evening ended with a fun little jam.  Good fun.  April has a lot of good stuff in store.  Kris and I have a few gigs to shout about, and then Mark Zeus is making a Chicago visit.  Read on to hear all about it…

Right off the bat now we got this gig here at The Red Line Tap.  We are on a bill with Brandon Bogues, Pet Robot, Bear With Hawk Fist, and Us.  Hey-what-do-ya-know! We're headlining!  Isn't that what you call it when you go on last?  Management informed us there are to be absolutely no shenanigans in the dressing room, so we are going to have to have all our shenanigans onstage, I guess.

WED. APRIL 13th 9:00PM - MIDNIGHT - THE GRAFTON PUB

Kris and I have visited The Grafton's open mic on many occasions over the years to debut new songs or see if we can remember lyrics to old ones.  This is our first occasion to do a proper gig at this fine establishment.  Since we told the proprietors all about you and how they just had to meet you, we were hoping that you would show up.  Bring the family, it's stroller-friendly.

SAT. APRIL 23rd 9:00PM - CHARLESTON'S BAR & GRILL

Normally I would agree with you if you said that New Lenox was kinda a far piece to travel to see Kris & Marlon, but these are far from normal times we live in and, therefore, it is imperative that you venture out, see this show, and eat a grilled-to-perfection burger at Charleston's!  We are very happy to be playing at this fine establishment representin' the Northside!

THURS. APRIL 28th 9:00PM - FRIENDLY TAP - THE RETURN OF ZEUS TOUR!

Mark Zeus and I will be in Berwyn to launch the Return of Zeus Chicago tour, and you should be too.  Mark is in town from Houston for a brief stretch and we are looking for a few good folks to join us at this fine west suburban locale.  Don't Miss It!

Please join us in the Captain's Quarter's for an important mission briefing.  Drinks will be served.  Oh, and bring your appetite; I hear the food is good at this place.  Mark Zeus will be the one with the Cubs hat on.  I'll be the one with the congas.  We're gonna party like it's 2011.

THE RETURN OF ZEUS TOUR concludes in The Pub Room where so much of this began.  Instead of passing a hat, we'll be passing a jerrycan around so Mark can fill up the ZeusMobile for the return trip to Texas.  So bring plenty of fuel.
