Hey folks,
Summer is ending—when laziness becomes somewhat respectable; when
khaki shorts, t-shirt, and sandals can be considered semi-formal
attire; when Congress is in recess and not screwing things up worse
than they already are. Our Summer hiatus is ending and we have
some great shows planned for this month and beyond. Welcome to
this month's edition of Where & When.
SAT. SEPTEMBER 10th 9:30PM ― MOHER PUBLIC HOUSE

Kris and I are pleased to be returning to Moher
Public House in Edgebrook. This place is a truly terrific
place to play, AND it has free parking along with a nice list of
craft beers. The fact that they desire to
have us back makes it one of the best places in all the land in our
book. Come on out and heckle us while you try the Shepard's
Pie.
FRI. SEPTEMBER 16th 9:00PM ― THE BIRD'S NEST
2500 N. Southport, Chicago, IL
Come for The Kris & Marlon Show, stay for the chicken wings.
This place hosts live entertainment every weekend all year long, and
they let guys like us play. Naturally, it's just our kinda joint.
This will be my Bird's Nest debut. Kris, on the other hand, is quite
well known in the place.

That's right. We couldn't stay away from this here. The Kris
& Marlon Show returns to Duke's stage. We love this place and
you will too if you don't already. Here's hopin' PBR and "Twang"
never go outta style.

It's the 1st date of the 2nd Annual "Return of Zeus Tour"! Mark Zeus is
on temporary loan from Houston, TX and Mark and I will be appearing
as part of "Country Night" alongside Seattle songwriter Zoe Muth
at this venerable honky tonk in Berwyn. Where'd I put my bolo
tie?
FRI. SEPTEMBER 30th 8:00PM ― LOVELL'S "THE CAPTAIN'S QUARTERS"
915 S. Waukegan Rd., Lake Forest, IL 60045
It's the return of Mark and Marlon to "The Captain's
Quarters". Please join us in the lounge for a fun night of
music featuring Houston's own Mark Zeus. Come on out and help
us "countrify" downtown Lake Forest.
SAT. OCTOBER 1st 10:00PM ― HONKY TONK BBQ
1213 W. 18th St., Chicago, IL 60608
Mark and I are making our Honky Tonk BBQ debut and we are thrilled
to be part of this venue's entertainment lineup. They host some of
the best music that Chicago has to offer, and Willie Wagoner, the
owner, has won deserved admiration for his tasty bar-be-que. I sat
down recently with the family and we polished off a table full of
deliciousness. I'm a huge fan of the place, obviously. This
will be a fun night you don't want to miss.

The Kris & Marlon Show has some fun things planned for
October. We will be making return appearances at Moher
Public House, Cullen's
Bar & Grill, and Bernice's
Tavern. We will also be making our CJ
Arthur's debut in Wilmette, so stay tuned to Where
and When for all the fab info.
Oh, and for those of you who received the August newsletter four
times (all of you, I believe), I apologize for the redundancy.
