Issue 17 ● May, 2012
Hey Folks,
Welcome to another edition of Where and When: the foremost
repository of useful and salient facts regarding the Kris and Marlon
Show in existence today. If you are reading this, it means you
have wound up on our mailing list, and that must mean you are
unmistakably hip. That is how exclusive this monthly missive
is! Not only are you reading something few can see; you are
reading something few will see. We don't just send it out to
anybody, you know.
We want to thank the friends and folks who caught us in the act
during April's shows, and also a special shout out to Michael
Rothstein for coming out to Lovell's last week with his guitar and
making it such a fun evening. This month features two very
special dates that we want you to know about, so let's get right to
it, shall we?
SAT. MAY 18th 9:00PM — GRANDPA'S PLACE
1868 Prairie St., Glenview IL 60026
Grandpa's is asking us back to either settle our bar tab from the
last time we were there or have us play again, we're unclear which.
Either way, we're going to bring our guitars and play some tunes. It
sure would be nice to see you there—especially if they want us to
settle up, then maybe we could borrow a buck or two just until the
next time we see you, which I hope is real, real soon.
FRI. MAY 25th 8:00PM — GRACE STREET TAP
3759 N. Western Ave., Chicago IL 60618
Join us for our Grace Street Tap debut. This cozy watering hole
regularly hosts music, which makes it A-O-K in our book. In fact,
should we ever write our memoirs, we will no doubt mention this
place, as well as you personally should you have a mind to show up
this particular evening.
A JUNE PREVIEW:
We will once again be returning to Moher Public House on
June 8th,
so may as well jot that down on your calendar now and, as I
mentioned in last month's issue, Mark Zeus is
coming into town for some shows in June you will not want to miss
including a return to Honky
Tonk BBQ on June 23rd
and an appearance with the splendid Ken Gaines at Uncommon
Ground on June 24th along with yours truly. See,
this is what I'm talking about: we are bringing ex-clu-sive
knowledge to your cottage each and every month. Why? We
want to keep you in the know, and we want to see you Where and When
we can.
With warmest regards,
Marlon St. John
