Issue 19 July, 2012

Hey Folks,

July.  Well, whatd'yaknow.  Seems like just yesterday I looked at the calendar and it was June.  We have got some absolutely wonderific shows coming up for you this month, but first I wanted to give a shout out to the folks who came out and helped make our recent appearances so much fun.  Big thanks to Sue and Doug, Gary and Gary, Rick and Greg, Cory Todd, Joe Mazur, Brian and Melissa, Ellis and Vaughn, Janet and Rudy, Howard, Bobby, Mike, Josh, Anna, Carole, Phil, and all the others I'm regrettably leaving out for coming out and spending time with us.  And special thanks to Ken Gaines and Mark Zeus for piloting their tour on a strafing run right through these parts.  Here are some pics from a couple of the shows.

Now phone your secretary, hush your kids, and jot these dates down on the back of a dry cleaning receipt.  These are the July shows:

Bridie's PicSAT. JULY 7th 9:00PM—BRIDIE McKENNA'S

254 Green Bay Road, Highwood, IL 60040

We are pleased to be returning to a now familiar haunt of ours. Bridie McKenna's is an upscale Irish pub with a great menu of dining goodness, a superb selection of ales and whatnot, and a fine staff. Weather permitting, we will be outdoors on the comfy patio directly beneath the constellation of Orion. Can't miss us.

Grace Street TapTHURS., JULY 26th 9:00PM—GRACE STREET TAP

3759 N. Western Ave., Chicago, IL 60618

Our first show at this joint was so much fun we decided to do it all over again. "Once more—with feeling!", I believe went the cry. This will be a Thursday night appearance, and if we aren't quite enough entertainment for you there's a pool table where you can further perfect your game. We'll be offering gentle guidance from the stage as you line up your shot.

Bernice's PicSAT. JULY, 28th 9:00PM—BERNICE'S TAVERN

3238 S Halsted St., Chicago, IL 60608

Bernice's Tavern is a more than a Bridgeport institution. It is a state of mind. If Earnest Hemingway were still alive, he'd write a tersely worded novel while sitting at the bar. You expect Tom Waits to stroll in at any moment. Playing this room feels like being the moving parts in a Wurlitzer juke box waiting for a dime to roll down the slot. It's as comfortable as your favorite pair of shoes. You will love this place.

And there you have it!  Three more great chances to catch "The Show" in March.  As always, we look forward to seeing you where and when we can.

With warmest regards,
