Issue 22 ● October, 2012
Hey Folks,
The mighty Kris & Marlon Show juggernaut rolls on!
Unstoppable. Indefatigable. Indomitable. Much
like our creditors! Our agent Murray is so busy he's
drinking after shave just to hide the shakes. The phone
won't stop ringing. He's got it sitting under a couch
cushion in the bottom drawer of the front office filing
cabinet. He has to turn up the sound on the TV just to
drown it out. But we can't be held back from our
ass-kicking rise to stardom, and so we soldier on. Now
grab your Sharpie and jot this down on the nearest wall so you
don't forget. Here are our upcoming dates!
WED., OCTOBER 3rd—WINDY CITY INN OPEN MIC
2257 W. Irving Park Rd., Chicago, IL 60618
Oyez, Oyez, Oyez...The Kris & Marlon Show will henceforth host
an Open Mic at The Windy City Inn the First Wednesday of the Month
starting Wednesday, October 3rd. Bring friends, lovers, wives, and
acquaintances with instruments to this stage this day and on the
first Wednesday of each and every month thereafter for a fair and
proper hearing. Notice is hereby given!
FRI., OCTOBER 5th―MOHER
PUBLIC HOUSE
5310 W. Devon Ave., Chicago, IL 60646
We are back at Moher Public House! This Edgebrook institution has
parking, a fine staff, good eats, and a great selection of brews.
If you haven't had a chance yet to catch us here, you should come
out. If you've already seen us here, come on out again! If
you have never seen us at all and come out, you may receive a free
T-shirt―not by us, we don't give away T-shirts―but it's possible
that you may run into someone who does have free T-shirts; not
that I've seen anyone in particular.
THURS., OCTOBER
25th—GRACE STREET TAP
3759 N. Western Ave., Chicago, IL 60618
We've been doing the last Thursday each month at Grace Street Tap.
There is a running club that convenes there for PBRs prior to and
after completing a night time run. This helps further prove that
there is at least one of everything that can be imagined in the
world. They are a fun bunch and we look forward to our return
visit. Come on out, listen to some music, AND jog off the carbs
while you're at it! Race you there.
So there you have it! Three extraordinary chances to catch
"The Show" in the month of October. Once again, we love it
when you come to see us, and hate it when you have to leave.
As the song says, "when you left I was so miserable, it felt like
you were here." As always, we look forward to seeing you
where and
when we can.
With warmest regards,
Marlon St. John
