Hey Folks,
Welcome to the November Issue of Where and When. Before
we get into all the latest regarding our whereabouts, I wanted
to give a big shout out to Wildflower
Conspiracy (pictured below) for letting me sit in on
their gig at Friendly Tap back on October 6th. That was
about as much fun as you can have without an amusement permit in
downtown Berwyn. I'm looking forward to the next time the
Conspiracy tours this-a-way. Thanks also to Janet and Rudy
for coming out to the open mic, and to the fabulous Mary
McIntire for coming out to Moher's and being...well,
fabulous. On the 27th, TK&MS wrapped our 26th show for
the year, and we are grateful for all the support.
We have got some truly lovely shows coming up this month.
So, let's break it down, shall we?
WED. NOVEMBER 7th 9:00PM—THE WINDY CITY INN OPEN MIC
2257 W. Irving Park Road, Chicago, IL 60618
It is the first Wednesday of the month so it must be time for the
Open Mic with Kris & Marlon at The Windy City Inn. Get out
that dusty old instrument case and warm up those golden pipes of
yours. Invite your friends and give a few songs a whirl for the
love of the game, of faith, and everlasting rock-n-roll.
AT THE OPEN MIC...
I saw them go up
then saw them come back down
I was just catching that thing
that was going around
It came my turn, they said "do what you like"
I played my song down at the open mic
This here's a song that's in 4/4 time
it's in the Key of Jesus
It's got the rhythm and rhyme
the melody's somewhere here in the strings I strike
I played my song down at the open mic
FRI. NOVEMBER 16th
9:30PM—MOHER PUBLIC HOUSE
5310 W Devon Ave., Chicago IL 60646
This is the CENTRAL SCRUTINIZER...it is my responsibility to
enforce all the laws that haven't been passed yet. It is also my
responsibility to alert each and every one of you to various
ordinary everyday activities such as The Kris & Marlon Show
appearing at Moher Public House on November 16th. The WHITE ZONE
is for loading and unloading only. . .
But seriously folks, we love what the new owners have done with
this place! The new chef knows a thing or two, and the staff
is poised to serve up a good time. C'mon by.
And just so you know, we have inked a deal recently with the good
people at
Volroom.
They put on house concerts. So if you want us in your living
area, it is as easy as pointing your web browser their way,
letting them know who you are, and they set it all up real slick
like. So, you might as well go ahead and do it.
Otherwise you run the risk of having us show up unannounced and
catching you completely by surprise. We hope you all have a
great Thanksgiving, and as always, we look forward to seeing you
where and
when we can.
With warmest regards,
