Issue 37 - August, 2018
Hey Folks,
It started as something
someone once said at the end of a long night some time ago.
"Hang it on the wall!" No one knew exactly what it meant,
and pretty much everyone paid little attention to it at the
time. Then, in the yawning absence of anything else
particularly cogent to say at the odd moment, someone would
raise a glass and say, "Hang it on the Wall!" and the rest
of the evening would progress in like fashion. Then, in
2013 I was trying to name a tour as all tours should have
names, and Bobby Apollo offered "Hang It On The Wall" and it
became a manifesto, a creedo, a mission if you will for
those few shows. It was the straw that stirred the drink.
It was the point of convergence for those with the ears to
hear. Time passed as it ceaselessly does and at the end of
a span of five wondrous albeit sometimes bewildering years,
I once again found myself trying to think up a name of a
tour as tours, as we've established, should have names. In
a flash of what some might call prescient insight and what
still others might call lackluster repetitive laziness it
hit me: "Hang It On The Wall AGAIN!" It meant nothing on
its first utterance those many years before and in the
passage of time it had gathered no further weight. It still
meant nothing, and what can you truly say that about these
days? How can something exist in the imagination for so
long with such effortless lightness that it leaves no mark
whatsoever. It is as empty now as it was then of meaning.
It is a blank slate. It is the Hang It On The Wall
Again Tour. It is whatever you need it to be, and it
is starting now, so grab your bulletin board and hang it on
the wall. You don't want to miss these shows:

take his birthday off. He can quiet audio feedback with a
patient stare. He introduced Ricardo Montalbán to Corinthian

It's that easy. Dan and Laurie said you're all welcome to come.
