Hey Folks,

From out of the dark of night a man appears with a guitar case and a small duffel bag. From the case he pulls a guitar and from the duffel he pulls a microphone and a cable. Sherpas carry his songs in their heads. His guitar picks are accepted as currency in several states. Small dogs feel larger in his presence. The Mayan Calendar has his birthday on it. Pete Townsend wrote the song "Who Are You?" about him. When you go down to the crossroads to try to flag a ride, often hell be the one who gives it to you. He is Mark Zeus and he is coming to a joint near you.

The Nest Bar & Eaterie

6859 W. Irving Park Rd, Chicago, IL 60634

This will be our fifth time returning to the The Nest Bar & Eaterie which can only mean one thing: we still havent finished working off our bar tab from the first time. At least they are still giving us the chance. Come and join us and enjoy some delicious items off their menu while the staff treats you like you're their first cousins at the family reunion. If you wind up having a good time, well take the blame. As the noted philosopher Curtis Mayfield once observed, "It's all right, have a good time, 'Cause it's all right, whoa, it's all right

This will be our second appearance at the Four Treys which can only mean one thing: we may have forgotten to settle our bar tab from the first time. This place has been a good hang for generations of Chicagoans and their loyal dogs. It's possible you wont have to bring your neighbors because they may already be there. The bartender is wise beyond his years, as most bartenders are, and knows what you need before you do. Theres a marlin behind the bar because why not? Well be the ones at the end of the bar causing talk and suspicion and giving an exhibition.

Fullers Pub

3203 W. Irving Park Rd., Chicago, IL 60618

This will be our first appearance at Fullers Pub. Our good friends Mark and Giselle have been telling us about this place for a while now, and it is past time we check it out. From what we can tell peeking through the windows, they appear to like live music which means they have to be pretty cool folks. As many of you might recall, when the Taliban came to power in Afghanistan years ago one of the first things they did was ban live music. If something is banned by the Taliban it must be cool, so come on out and get some.

Firewater Saloon

6689 N. Oliphant Ave., Edison Park, IL 60631

The Firewater Saloon is a place with a friendly staff waiting to serve you some hot wings and ice cold beer. They have a full menu of fine food and a bar about as long as a flat bed trailer where they mix custom cocktails that will give you a southern accent even if youve never been south of Decatur. This is our first time playing this room, and what a room it is! There is a dance floor so bring some boots that scoot and well furnish the Ray Price and Haggard tunes.

Grandpa's Place

1868 Prairie St., Glenview, IL 60026

Grandpas has been a favored spot for us to set up in for a while now. It is a great place to bring friends to listen to live music and they keep their calendar chock full of a number of fine area acts. Its as comfy as your mamas couch so come on by and sit a spell. If you have any requests, let us know. If we dont know the tune, well likely play one just like it, you know, the law of averages being what it is and all€”and by that I mean the principle that supposes most future events are likely to balance any past deviation from a presumed average.

...And there you have it. Grab a pen and jot these dates down on the back of a cocktail napkin. Use the front if you must. This is the kind of entertainment that could make Ed Sullivan act stiff and awkward. We certainly hope to see you out Where and When we can.
