Hey Folks,

From out of the shadows night, a stranger appears. He carries a small knapsack and a guitar case. From out of the knapsack he pulls a mic and a cable. He plugs in the mic and adjusts it just so. His guitar goes to eleven, and it's an acoustic. He was the subject of The Who's immortal classic Who Are You? Indigenous People have a day honoring him. His tour rider calls for White Castle and total silence in his dressing room. He is Mark Zeus and he is coming to a joint near you.

Mark Zeus & Friends perform at one of their favorite night spots. If you can't find what you need in this place, it is because they have it in the backroom and have not brought it out because you don't need it quite yet. We're going to be playing an exclusive set of songs that should have been hits had it not been for independent record promoters who didn't know a good thing when they had it. We're going to be playing all the songs Big Radio doesn't want you hear. This place has a dance floor. Use it responsibly, and by that I mean get your thang on.

We played here last July and now they are having us back, which means they either must like us, or they have us confused with someone they like. Either way, it is good to be liked. This place serves up a decent menu, so bring along your appetite as well as your inimitable personality that makes the you you are so infinitely unique. Your Serial Number is 1, and there will never be another quite like you.

We are returning to Grandpa's Place in Glenview once again to play their lovely room and spend some time among our friends. Either that or we forgot our capo and need to check if it is in the drawer under the cash register. One way or another guitars will get picked, basses will get plucked, and songs will get sung. In a world of uncertainty and dangers both known and unknown, a sure thing is a rare thing. We are that sure thing inasmuch as the show is reasonably expected to start more or less on time, and you can trust that tunes will be played. Can you say the same for much else?

.

So, that is about the long and short of it. This is the kind of entertainment the mainstream media do not want you to know about, and the major labels are not smart enough to market effectively. But you are hep and, as always, a valued member of an elite club of music aficionados who are given the inside skinny on where the cool gigs are located. So feel free to pass it on to the other cool people you know, and we will see you Where and When we can.

With warmest regards,
